The Kortright East neighbourhood has long been popular for its family friendly streets and close proximity to highways and amenities. Within Kortright East, tucked into a quiet cul de sac is 6 Halesmanor Ct. Built in 1987 with architectural design in mind, this 2631sf home is striking from the curb. As you come in the front door, you’ll notice the vaulted ceilings, winding staircase and airy feeling. In fact, you can see the pool in the backyard from the front hallway through the big windows! On the main level, you’ll find a sunken family room and living room, an office, powder room and laundry. But the best part is the open concept kitchen overlooking the eat in kitchen and 18×40′ pool! Entertain in the backyard all summer long with backyard access off the kitchen. Upstairs you’ll find 4 generous sized bedrooms, a full bath and an ensuite, both of which have skylights. The basement is fully finished and huge- enough space to entertain a group of 50 (when that’s allowed again!). The owners have taken great care of this home and it shows, with many major updates over the past six years including: roof/ skylights (2014), furnace/ AC (2015), backyard fence (2018) and main level painting (2020). The pool is professionally maintained annually, with a new liner, pump and solar blanket in the past seven years. This house is truly a gem for it’s new owners! (62357288)

There are three Kortright areas of Guelph – and Kortright West is the most affordable. It gets the “west” for being on the west side of Gordon St. With easy access to the University, Downtown, the 401, and lots of great shopping and services, Kortright West is an attractive location for many reasons.
With Stone Rd Mall on the north border of this area, along with a very close proximity to the University, Kortright West has many student rentals in the neighbourhood. Streets such as Cole Rd, Edinburgh Rd S and parts of Ironwood are very popular student rental locations.
The homes further south become less student populated and south of Kortright Rd it can become pricey. These homes were mainly built in the 1970-1990 era and feature spacious layouts, larger lots and like Kortright Hills, often include views of forested areas or parks.
The extremely popular Preservation Park is on the southern edge of this neighbourhood and is used for dog walks and afternoon strolls.
