As part of our commitment to our community as Guelph Realtors, we’ve compiled a series of lists as guides. These are designed to people looking for local products and services, including Guelph florists.
The Guelph florists options listed below are in no particular order, but do contain a focus on locally owned businesses. However, we also will feature franchised businesses as they often have local owners and staff as well!
We do not receive compensation in any way for this list and these are in no particular order. If you believe there are other options that we should feature in the top 5, please contact us!
1. Sunday Blooms, 214 Woolwich St Guelph
This darling small business in downtown Guelph was formerly two popular businesses: Blooms and Flora flower shop and Sunday General modern general store. Realizing there were many synergies, it only made sense to combine the offering (and offering so much more). As a result, the owners created Sunday Blooms.
Located in the standalone building of the long-time favourite Guelph restaurants, Artisanele, Sunday Blooms maintains their strong floral business, but offers gifts, housewares, some clothing, coffee and even ice cream.
It’s not a big store but the offerings are anything but small. According to their website, Sunday Blooms “specializes in creating unique, garden-inspired floral arrangements using the freshest of ingredients, sourcing locally and seasonally whenever possible. Whether you are looking to give the gift of flowers as a sentiment of congrats, love, loss, sympathy, or ‘just because’, we are here to help.
You can order standardized arrangements, or a custom arrangement for either pickup or delivery. Additionally, they offer a subscription service for flowers on a schedule
If it’s house plants you are after – they offer a variety of unique and beautiful plants. Additionally, Sunday Blooms also carries a wide variety of tropical plant and succulent terrariums, air plants and more.
2. Sweet Violets, 38 Wilson St Guelph
Sweet Violets entered the Guelph florists scene over a decade ago. They were Guelph’s first foray into “modern floral” offering unique flower pairings in a modern atmosphere.
Sweet Violets is located on Wilson St in downtown Guelph (right by City Hall). This location used to be a longtime barber shop. (Ryan would go there, the barber would smoke while cutting your hair but that’s a whole other story!). This location gets extremely busy when the Guelph Farmers market is open with a lot of foot traffic.
This store is very busy and offers arrangements, plants and a limited selection of housewares. Therefore, our recommendation is that if you’re ordering for a traditional event, order early. Key dates such as valentines day or mothers day put major strain on them! They are extremely popular Guelph florists during this time.
Although they have a website, the best way to find them is to call or visit their social media. The best options are either Facebook or Instagram. www.sweetviolets.ca
3. Robinsons Flowers, 59 Duke St, Guelph
Robinsons Flowers have been Guelph florists for a very long time. If you ever see historic photos of downtown Guelph, you’ll likely see a Robinsons Flowers sign in the background.
Robinsons has a traditional element to them and are not modern (nor are they trying to be). You would call Robinsons if you wanted to send flowers for a funeral in Guelph. Or perhaps if you live out of province? You can send flowers via a local flowershop as they are part of the Teleflora network. Robinsons Flowers understand the floral business and are a tried and trusted in the Guelph florists community.
They specialize in traditional arrangements that are all clearly laid out on their website and you can order right online! Robinson’s also offers limited chocolates and funeral related arrangements. www.robinsonsflowers.com
4. Four Seasons Flowers, 666 Woolwich St Guelph
Additional longtime Guelph florists (since 1987) is Four Seasons Flowers. It’s located in north Guelph at the intersection of Woolwich and Speedvale in the Rexall plaza. According to their website, fourseasonsflowers.ca:

Our in store selection includes fresh cut flowers, fresh arrangements, blooming plants, foliage, cemetery wreaths and more. In addition, delivery service is available to hospitals, funeral homes, businesses and residential addresses in Guelph and its surrounding area. “
Although not a glamorous shop, this small shop has practical, functional open coolers. You can enter these yourself to pick out your own arrangements. The staff is always very friendly and helpful if you need assistance. You can also online or by calling and they offer same day delivery.
5. Floral Images, 68 Delhi St
