Guelph real estate: Onward Willow
Together with its sister neighbourhood Willow West, the majority of the Onward Willow neighbourhood was developed between the early 1950s to the 1980’s and located northwest of downtown Guelph.
Where is Onward Willow?
Bordered by Waterloo Ave, Edinburgh Rd, Speedvale Ave and the Hanlon Expressway, Onward Willow has developed a reputation over time of being a rougher part of town- but like anything else this should be taken with a grain of salt. There is a lot to be proud of in this area:
Onward Willow is one of the fastest growing areas of Guelph, in particular the modest post war bungalows found on streets such as Rosewood, Ridgewood, Western and Alma. A sub-area of Onward Willow is the Junction neighbourhood, a trendy part of town with our Home Group Realty office, along with Fixed Gear Brewing.
You’ll find the most diverse area in Guelph to be Onward Willow, with over 40 language spoken by its residents. This is mainly due to it’s high new Canadian population and as a result has plenty of authentic eateries.
