Exhibition Park is immediately north of downtown Guelph, and many locals consider it part of the broader downtown area. London Road generally separates Exhibition Park from Downtown Guelph, while Edinburgh Road forms a transition toward Onward Willow.
The neighbourhood is one of Guelph's oldest established residential areas. Mature trees, older architecture and proximity to downtown give it a character that is very different from newer suburban parts of the city.

Established in 1871, Exhibition Park has a long history in Guelph. Today it remains one of the city's best-known parks, with sports fields, Hastings Stadium, tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, wading pool, green space and Exhibition Arena at the north end.
