Exhibition Park
One of Guelph’s oldest and storied areas just north of downtown is Exhibition Park. At the centre of the neighbourhood is the historic park itself which was established in 1871. The park has been used for the City’s original annual exhibition, has included a horse race track, an exhibition building and livestock sheds. The Park is also home to Hastings Stadium, where the Guelph Royals baseball team plays. On the north end of the park, the City run Exhibition Arena is a city run facilityused by all ages.
Homes in the area are mainly century homes on mature streets including McTague, Mont, Tiffany, Lyon, Dufferin and Barber Ave. In the newer sections of the neighbourhood, you’ll find the 1950’s bungalows lining streets like Avondale, Campion and Robertson. Just a stones throw from downtown, this area is highly walkable to downtown shops, restaurants, bars, the Sleeman Centre and River Run Centre.
