Kortright West
Kortright West has a great mix of families, seniors, young professionals, as well as students living here. It’s a vibrant and active community! Drive through and you will see lots of people out and about enjoying the convenience of nearby shopping, restaurants, and services.
There are three Kortright areas of Guelph – and Kortright West is the most affordable. It gets the “west” for being on the west side of Gordon St. With easy access to the University, Downtown, the 401, and lots of great shopping and services, Kortright West is an attractive location for many reasons.
With Stone Rd Mall on the north border of this area, along with a very close proximity to the University, Kortright West has many student rentals in the neighbourhood. Streets such as Cole Rd, Edinburgh Rd S and parts of Ironwood are very popular student rental locations.
The homes further south become less student populated and south of Kortright Rd it can become pricey. These homes were mainly built in the 1970-1990 era and feature spacious layouts, larger lots and like Kortright Hills, often include views of forested areas or parks.
In terms of parks in Guelph, the extremely popular Preservation Park is on the southern edge of this neighbourhood and is used for dog walks and afternoon strolls.
