Kortright Hills

Kortright Hills

This is Beth’s stomping grounds growing up! Located on the east side of the Hanlon Expressway and contained between Stone Rd and Downey Rd, Kortright Hills is an area almost considered exclusive.

The major landmark of this area is the YMCA. Homes here consistently maintain the status of Guelph’s highest priced neighbourhood. This is mostly due to the fact that the homes are larger, detached homes

Built mainly in the 1980’s, the footprint is very similar to Kortright West: spacious homes on nice lots. Almost all homes have garages and at least three bedrooms. When developed, there was a lot of greenspace that was maintained, so it is common that a home here would back onto a park, a pond or forested area.

Because of it’s isolation, this area would require a longer walk across the Hanlon to Stone Road Mall or reliance on transportation for grocery stores in Guelph or other day to day amenities. It’s main counterpart on the West side of the Hanlon is the Dovercliffe area of Old University.
